Doug Fleener
Instructor Of
Violin - Mandolin - Guitar
About
Hello, my name is Doug Fleener. I am an accomplished
musician and great teacher. I have a bachelors degree in
Commercial Violin from Belmont University. In college, I was
fortunate to study with some of the world’s best musicians
including: Buddy Spicher, Billy Contreras, Elisabeth Small,
Daniel Carwile, and others. I am particularly known in the
fiddling contest community, having claimed many state and
national championship titles.
I specialize in Country and Bluegrass music, but I am well
versed in many genres. I performed for four years in both the
Kentucky Allstate orchestra and the Belmont University
symphony orchestra.
Having played in numerous bands as a fiddler in the
Nashville, Portland, and the Eugene areas, I excel at
improvisation and can easily show students what is needed to
perform in live bands.
I enjoy sharing my love of music with others. I can teach all
skill levels, beginner to advanced, and people of any age.
