About

   I work at Spencer Butte Middle School as a 1:1 Instructional Assistant. Since music is my passion, I believe that I have a gift for teaching. I’ve played music my whole life, starting with piano, then going on to violin, guitar, recorder and silver flute. Furthermore, I have played in orchestras in high school and at the U of O, where I graduated with a B.S. in Psychology in l994. In addition to my formal training, I’ve taken great pleasure in being in various musical groups, playing the Blues, Fiddle, Irish, Appalachian, Jewish Music and Jazz.

 

I have excellent experience teaching violin and recorder, and feel that I would be a valuable resource for you. I am reliable, inspired, and very dedicated to giving individual instruction based on the students’ particular strengths and needs. Also, my patience and dedication toward my students contributes to an excellent rapport and sense of focused relaxation. Hopefully, you have enjoyed learning about my qualifications as a potential teacher for you. Music is an international language that connects all people.
