Rob McCabe

Having graduated from The University of Iowa in 2010 with a degree in Percussion Performance and Music Education, Rob has been teaching both privately and in classrooms for over a decade. With experience in everything from General Music, to 5th-12th grade Band and Musical Theater, Rob is capable of teaching any age and/or experience level.

In addition to his teaching career, Rob has performed and recorded with a variety of bands, played and directed pit orchestras, been an audio engineer/producer on several albums and has composed/arranged several pieces for his students and for high school ensembles.

His topmost strength is teaching drums and percussion, but he is also proficient in teaching most woodwinds and brass as well as audio engineering and production.


Elizabeth Hoffman

Elizabeth Hoffman earned her D.M.A. and M.M. in flute performance at the University of Oregon where she studied with Richard Trombley. She received her B.A. from the University of Minnesota, Morris. Elizabeth’s other teachers include Walfrid Kujala, Donald Peck, Bernard Goldberg, Mary Karen Clardy, Christina Smith, Michel Debost, John Solum, and Janet See. Elizabeth is an active recitalist and chamber musician in the Eugene/Springfield area and has also performed with the Oregon Mozart Players, the Corvallis Symphony, and the Oregon Festival of American Music. Liz also instructs at LCC, has an active private music stidio, and participates in the Music Matters program Agnes Stewart Middle School.

Seretta Shanahan: recorder

Seretta has played in the orchestra at the UO where she holds a B.S. in Psychology and she has played in various groups since then. She has taught violin, recorder and is an instructional Assistant at Spencer Butte Middle School. Seretta teaches in a variety of styles such as Jazz, Blues, Classical, Fiddle, Appalachian, Irish, and Jewish Music.
